"Inspiring our community through education and creativity, one person and one quilt at a time!"
Please help us to welcome David Sirota: Instructor, Lecturer and Quilt maker, for a fun Night Out and some laughs on Friday, June 25th, 6:30-9:00pm
David is the creator of the "No More Tears" Paper Piecing Method and has even been invited to tape an episode of "The Quilt Show"!
Join us for a laugh-out-loud and interactive look at ourselves as quilters. We’ll examine the little quirks, passions, idiosyncrasies and obsessions we all share.
We'll hold a mirror up to ourselves and to help us see what others see when they look at us. So, bring your friends and family along and maybe “What Makes a Quilter Tick?” will help explain to you and to them why they look at us the way they do.
Light refreshments will be served. Tickets are $25/pp. Space is limited, so sign up soon!

Cathy starting sewing at the age of 9 sitting on a blanket in the front yard with a pile of fabric scraps and a needle and thread she borrowed from her mother’s sewing basket. Barbie was about to get a new wardrobe! Shortly after, she was gifted with her first sewing machine; it was a birthday gift from her grandmother. For the next several years Cathy happily sewed clothing, graduating from Barbie clothes to her own clothes then as she got married and had children she sewed all their clothes, curtains, pillows and many other household items. It was a very natural thing for Cathy to see a McCall’s pattern in the fabric store for a quilt and decide to make it for her parents 25th Anniversary. Little did she know that was the start of a lifelong passion for quilting. Cathy has been quilting now for over 40 years and has taught quilting for the past 17 years. When she is not quilting (a rare occurrence) Cathy enjoys traveling and spending time with her children and grandsons! Cathy is thrilled to be partnering with her daughter Paula and fulfilling a dream to own a Quilting Studio. We hope you will join us as we begin this adventure at Night Owl Quilting Studio!
I grew up watching my mother sewing and spent countless hours in her sewing room. She made us kids everything from Halloween costumes, baby doll clothes and later on prom and wedding dresses! When I was a little girl she taught me how to do cross stich on plastic canvas, embroidery and even convinced me to try my hand at quilting! I have always admired her passion and creativity for the art, but mostly the way she inspires everyone around her. I am so excited to have this opportunity to start a business with my mother and make her dream a reality!
We are so happy to welcome Gavin as our very first part-time employee here at Night Owl Quilting Studio! Gavin is part of our family, literally! Gavin is Paula's oldest son and has a lot to offer our family business.
Since he was 16 years old he has worked in retail management and has wonderful customer service skills. Most recently he was employed as inventory manager, so naturally, he will be in charge of all the inventory in our shop!
Gavin lives right here in Goffstown and is very excited to be a part of our team. Gavin has a passion for music, movies and acting and is hoping someday to be known in that industry!
Please be patient with him, as he is learning the art of quilting, but he will be happy to help you, so stop on in and say hello!
